Affairs of the Heart - Chapter Nine

So this is a really short chapter, but it's an absolutely crucial one as I'm sure you'll understand when you read it. 

My fantastic beta thought that because of the tone of the piece that this was the final chapter of the story when I sent it to her and was quite upset that it ended where it did (she's very much a loose ends tied up type of a person whereas I've never been so much bothered by that). But actually, the story didn't really start until the last chapter, at least in my mind, as the early years etc. were just set dressing to give readers an understanding of Severus and Hermione's relationship and the real story gets going properly next week. It is also a much longer chapter to make up for this little interlude.

As for NaNoWriMo I didn't manage to complete it but I did get two thirds of the way. I'll admit I also got a lot of lovely Christmas cards made when I should have been writing - but hey, you can't do everything, right?

Affairs of the Heart - Chapter Six

Welcome to another chapter. It's been a slightly better week for NaNoWriMoing as I have now managed just over 11,000 words - okay, I know that's still not that good considering we're on day 12. Still a long way to go, and not much time to do it in as work keeps me very late at the moment and I can't seem to write at all during the week and I keep having the urge to make Christmas cards rather than write.
