Hi all,
So in case you missed my last post, the Halloween stand-alone Dramione story, Sugar and Spice, has become a fully-fledged series.
We last met our protagonists at Christmas, when Draco sneakily tried to get physical with Hermione while dressed as both Santa and Casanova, with relative success but eventually to the detriment to his relationship to her.
Now it's Valentine's Day and time for new shenanigans . . . and a confession.
As ever, comments, kudos and reviews are gratefully received, so thank you for posting them.
Until next time - which may be sooner than you think - keep the faith!

Ooops - Sugar and Spice: The Christmas Chapter
Hi everyone,
Okay, so because it had been so long since I posted, and because I may, possibly, have been a bit squiffy due to the imbibing of Christmas champagne, I completely forgot to announce that I had posted a new chapter in the Sugar and Spice story.
To be honest, when I originally wrote the story - as a Halloween special - I intended it to be a bittersweet stand-alone Dramione story.
But then I had inspiration for a Christmas chapter (which was good, as the Christmas story I was supposed to be writing was growing and growing (as these things always do with me) and wasn't going to get finished in time for the festive season - fingers crossed for this year, eh?)
Anyway, so on Christmas Day (well, Boxing Day, actually, by the time I got round to it) I posted the next chapter in what is clearly going to be an ongoing series.
So here are the links (although it might be a bit late if you've already read it - if not, better late than never, and welcome to the story!)
And now I'm off to post the entry I meant to post today - the Valentine's Day chapter!
See you soon.

New story - Sugar and Spice
H A P P Y H A L L O W E E N
Hi everyone,
Oh wow, it's been so long since I last posted. I can't believe I honestly haven't uploaded a single story this year. Unfortunately, real-life intruded a bit too much and I've had little time for writing. But finally I'm back (and just in time for NaNoWriMo too, although I'm currently at a loss as to what to do).
I've wanted to write a Halloween story for quite some time and this year I finally managed it. Of course, it was sod's law that I then couldn't post it on Halloween as I got caught up with other things, but rather than leave it for another year I've decided to upload it anyway.
The story is called Sugar and Spice and takes its title from the old rhyme.
Ron and Harry make a bet with Hermione that she can't spend Halloween night alone in the Shrieking Shack. She knows it's going to be an easy bet to win - there's nothing in there and never has been, apart from Professor Lupin in werewolf form, and that was many years before. But is she right? And what is Draco Malfoy doing there?
It's quite a long short story so I've split it into two chapters. the first of which can be found below.
Christmas here we come!
Until next time, stay safe and keep the faith.

All I Want For Christmas - New Story
Merry Christmas everyone!
I'm actually a little late as it's now Boxing Day here, but I got caught up with stuff and then remembered I hadn't created a picture for my story and so I had to quickly cobble something together (which is why it's so rubbish, sorry!).
Christmas time, of course, means the annual Draco and Hermione fanfic, so here it is - All I Want For Christmas. It's cute and AU as hell, but it's Christmas and fanfic so anything goes, right?
Draco Malfoy asks Father Christmas for an impossible gift.
I really hope you enjoy the story and would, as always, appreciate kudos, comments and reviews.
I'm off to do a bit more Christmassing. I hope you've had/are having a peaceful and happy time whether or not you celebrate any of the many different festivals around this time of year.
I'll see you next year, when hopefully I'll have some more stories completed. I really need to stop watching Netflix and get on with some writing!
Until next time,

Dear Mym - Year Seven and Epilogue
Hullo, everyone.
It's Sunday night, I have a stinking cold thanks to the rotten weather at the moment, and it's time for the final chapters of Dear Mym. There is an epilogue, but it's so short I didn't think it was worth saving until next week - and I'm off to Spain anyway, so at least I don't have to worry about posting that before I go.
Charlie has left Hogwarts and is working with the Order of the Phoenix, but with war on the way, anything could happen.
Thank you to everyone who's read the story. I hope you enjoyed it. Comments, reviews and kudos are always welcome.
As I said I'm off to Spain shortly, but before I go I need to crack on with NaNoWriMo. Shamefully, I've been so busy this month that my current tally stands at about 4,000 words, but I've set this week aside to do as much as possible, and if nothing else get the annual Christmas story finished.
I'm also very excited because my BFF bought me the Harry Potter Funko advent calendar, to clutter up my already overstuffed home with 24 miniature HP figures. I have also bought a chocolate calendar (of course) and a wine one, too, as I think a glass of wine each evening is a nice way to treat myself in the lead up to Christmas.
Time to get going as I need to crack that word count, and find time to put up my Christmas tree!
Feeling festive already!

Dear Mym - Year Six
Good morning everyone.
I know I'm a day early, but I'm off to gigs for the next couple of nights so rather than be really late posting I thought I'd get it done before I went - anything to keep me away from NaNoWriMo (it's not going well) and building a rather tricky TV stand that I really can't get my head around the picture-only instructions for tonight.
So, Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald. What about that ending, eh? Obviously, I'm 'Protecting the Secrets' as most people still seem to be so I won't refer to it directly, but if you've seen the film you'll know exactly what I mean.
The first time we saw it as part of a double bill with the first film, my BFF and I sat there in stunned silence, both absolutely flabbergasted (I love that word) by what we'd just seen and completely unable to comprehend what was going on, whilst around us hordes of Muggles put on their coats and left the cinema moaning about the late hour, as if nothing momentous had just happened.
The following night at the midnight showing the reaction was more as we would have expected as most of the attendees were wizards rather than Muggles, and the discussion in the aftermath as everyone stayed rooted to their seat in hopes there would be a Marvel-type interlude at the end of the credits which explained everything was wild and speculative.
I thought the film was excellent although I'm obviously annoyed that it's going to be another year at least before that terrible cliffhanger is resolved - if it is.
Anyway, back to the reason I'm here and the sixth chapter of Dear Mym.
It's Charlie's sixth year as a teacher at Hogwarts and Severus has finally become the DADA teacher. Will it make him happy? Will a year pass without terrible things happening? And is Harry Potter really the 'Chosen One'?
Although the story hasn't had as many views as I might have hoped, presumably because it's not yet completed (which I totally understand, I hate reading WIPs that might never get finished) the comments I've received have been both kind and positive.
I hope you enjoy this latest chapter. As always comments, reviews and kudos are welcomed.
I hope you have a good week.

Dear Mym - Year Five
Hello once again.
It's Sunday already, which means it's time for the next chapter of Dear Mym.
Unfortunately, there seem to be problems with FanFiction.Net which mean I can't post the story there tonight, but as they've been going on for what seems like some time according to their Twitter (actually, it says it's fixed but it isn't and they're not well-known for working on Sundays apparently), and I don't want to hold up the story for those that read on AO3, I'm posting there tonight and will add the link for FFNet when they come back online.
It's Charlie's fifth year at Hogwarts. There's another new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher starting, the Dark wizard Voldemort is back but not yet showing himself publicly so the Minister for Magic is still denying his return, and to cap it all Severus has been tasked with teaching Harry Occlumency. Is Charlie going to have any time for a hot relaxing bath with cocoa?
As always, I hope you enjoy the chapter and are enjoying the story. Thank you for the comments I have received so far, they're always appreciated.
This week is an exciting one with Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald being released. I'm off to see it in a double bill with the first film on Wednesday before going again for the midnight release on Friday.
If you're off to see the film this week - enjoy - it seems people who have already seen it are loving it. I honestly can't wait!
See you next week.
