113 Days Later - Chapter 8

Hi All,

Another early posting (go, me!) and it's the final part of this particular story.

I am intending to write a third and final part to the In Time series but with this enforced isolation (which has now seen me at home, alone, since the beginning of March - honestly, I've seen no one but the occasional neighbour - usually out of the window - and people delivering stuff to me), I haven't been able to write in the way I normally do, so everything is either going much slower or is at a complete standstill. 

Originally, I intended to wait until I'd finished the last story before I posted any of it, but with the year I've had, I was feeling down, so I decided to publish 7 Days, as posting and getting comments and kudos always cheers me up. I then had to make the decision whether to publish this follow-up story now or wait until next Christmas. 

Yet again, enforced lockdown and seasonal depression made me decide to go for it, but I can't honestly say whether the last story will be completed in time for posting next year. Fingers crossed the new vaccine starts working, life can get back to something approaching normal, and my writer's block disappears and allows me to finish both the next story and some of the others that have been hanging around for far too long.

In the meantime, I hope you all have a happy and hopefully healthy New Year.

Hurrah, I made it before midnight!

Boxing Day is a time for some quiet reflection after the big day (i.e. recovering from the hangover from the day before), and for going shopping in the sales (although obviously, with the pandemic still in full swing out there and everyone locked down, this year it's going to be mainly done online for most people - if they can afford to buy anything in the first place).

For Hermione and Arthur, Boxing Day is a time to reconnect and talk about what happened at the party.

Sorry, I'm late again!

Unfortunately, I got carried away watching the Korean drama Kairos, starring the lovely Shin Sung Rok (sigh), and completely forgot about the time, ably assisted by a large quantity of sparkling wine.

113 Days Later - Chapter 2

Hi everyone,

I'm a bit late, so it's actually turned Christmas Day here and Santa has, apparently, already delivered to us - he seems to have forgotten me this year (the joy of living alone and not having had any contact with anyone since March because of this bloody pandemic). Anyway, enough of my Christmas woes. I do have loads of alcohol so it's not going to matter that I have no presents.

Chapter 2 of  113 Days Later is below. As I'm sure you read 7 Days previously, you'll already know the format, so I don't really need to explain it.

I'm off to bed as I have to be up at stupid o'clock for something happening in South Korea (damn me for being a huge K-Pop stan and living in completely the wrong part of the world for it). Mind you, if I had kids (or grandkids these days, I guess) I'd probably be up at that time anyway.

New story - 113 Days Later (Arthur/Hermione)

Hi everyone,

Well, Christmas is finally here, and sadly, for those that enjoy them, there is no Draco and Hermione Christmas story this year as I didn't get it finished in time - sorry, the events of 2020 haven't exactly been conducive for writing, at least not for me. 

We do, however, have the next instalment in what I'm calling the 'In Time' series. This follows on from the last story published earlier this year, Seven Days.

Hermione is joining her friends at the Burrow for the Christmas holidays. But will what she and Arthur began in the summer continue now she's back? And if so, will she still be just a Muggle artefact?

New Story - 7 Days (Arthur/Hermione)

Good evening everyone.

Today marks the start of a new Arthur Weasley and Hermione Granger story, called 7 Days, which I am going to be posting daily over the next week. 

It is something of an unexpected posting for me, as with everything going on in the world right now I had completely forgotten that I had this story written and was waiting to post in real time (so to speak). It was a complete fluke that I happened to check this story today and noticed that the first date for posting was 26 August. Even more strangely, 26 August 1998, which is when the first chapter is set was also a Wednesday, so both the days of the week and the date will match — there's just 22 years between them. 

The story takes place on the seven days leading up to Hermione's return to studying at Hogwarts after the final battle and is set at the Burrow, where our heroine has decided that she wants to be one of Arthur's Muggle artefacts.

As she says in the story, 'Just think of me as part of your collection . . . .'

The story is hosted on AFF.Org because it is extremely explicit after the first chapter (I'm easing you in gently), so over eighteens only, I'm afraid. It's also hosted on AO3, but I'm not sure what their policy on access to Explicit stories is.

New Story - A Debt Repaid

Well hello everyone.

It's been quite a while, hasn't it? 

I've been busy plugging away at writing (no I haven't really, to be honest, I've mainly been busy becoming overinvested in The Librarians (because I love Jenkins - I am absolutely gutted that it's been cancelled just after I discovered it), The Good Place (which is just crazy good) and Meteor Garden (because it's so darn cute) although there has been a little bit of writing going on too. 

Over the summer I've been working on a couple of Hermione/Arthur stories which have been quite heavy and serious in places, so I was getting a bit bogged down and needed to write something light and frothy to get me back on track. The result is the following short story, A Debt Repaid. 

It's quite lemony throughout so it's being posted on AFF.Org (sorry, no under-eighteens this time), as well as being added to my collection on AO3.

I have something in mind but need to see how far I can get with it as I've not really plotted it properly yet.

I have another new story, reimagining the HP series through the eyes of an OFC, which I should hopefully, be able to start posting in a few weeks if I manage to get my arse in gear and get it finished.

The Lady - Chapter Five

It's another weekend and there's more snow 😞 Hopefully, it won't last anywhere near as long as the last lot did.

So, while I'm tucked away in the warm, trying to forget about the bad weather it's time for the final chapter of The Lady.

The time has come for Arthur and Hermione to make some hard decisions whether they want to or not. But what will the outcome be?

The Lady - Chapter Four

Good morning all,

I've just noticed that I still have the snowflakes on my blog, but I honestly don't care. I love them (unlike real life snow) and so they're staying - also, it saves me having to look up how to do it again next Christmas (yep, I really am that lazy).

It's time for the next chapter of The Lady.

Everyone is coming to terms with the reality of Hermione and Arthur's breakup. Lucius decides it's time for him to step in and try to sort it out . . . good luck with that!

The story comes to an end next week and will likely be followed by a short Dramione that I wrote when I was supposed to finishing off a couple of other stories. There's nothing like getting near the end to send me off-track, sadly I'm extremely good at diverting myself from what I'm supposed to be doing - the writing equivalent of watching cat videos, I suppose.

So, this week I'm off to learn to make magical cocktails with the crew that came up with the idea of the wizarding pub in London. It was supposed to happen a couple of weeks ago, but the dreaded snow put the kybosh on it. It should be lots of fun although I won't be able to drink them as I'm driving (yes, I know that is badly planned but, alas, I have no choice).
