Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

As a little present to you all I've started posting a new story on FanFiction.Net called 'How To Catch a Potions Master'.

This story is a companion piece to 'The Rose', showing the relationship from Sarah's point of view. As I say in the author's notes at the beginning: You may be surprised at what you read, because this love story may not be quite what you thought it was.

If you haven't read 'The Rose' I suggest you tackle that first, although it doesn't matter too much if you haven't, although you will have missed a great story. Go on, go and read 'The Rose' and then follow it on with 'How to Catch a Potions Master'. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I have posted two chapters to start with as the Prologue is extremely brief.

Other People's Stories

I am currently in editing and betaing mode, so don't have any stories to post at the moment (although hopefully I'll be putting something up soon) but I just had to pop on quickly to give a couple of recommendations for stories I've recently read that I absolutely loved and want to share with everyone.

 

First up is an enchanting story called 'The Hogwarts Christmas Orb' by Nerys on AFF.Net. 

Although it's festive it doesn't need to be saved for Christmas. Featuring Hermione and Voldemort this is an interesting, intelligent and charming tale, which is well written and thoroughly entertaining. I can guarantee you will never think of Father Christmas the same way again!

Christmas is a time of peace and joy, and most of all, presents. Do Tom and Hermione get what they want or what they need?

Yesterday, Mark Oshiro, recommended this story that he had just produced a video reading for. I tracked the story down on FanFiction.net as I prefer to read rather than listen, and spent several very happy hours last night immersed in this truly outstanding piece of work. I am so glad I took his recommendation as I would never have read it otherwise as it is a crossover fic, a type of story for which I have never previously had any time or interest, despite being active in several other fandoms. 

 

Personally, I can rarely see the point of mixing fandoms, it just seems stupid to me, but in this particular story it works absolutely perfectly as the characters are all spot on for both fandoms and actually work very well together (I can't say more without spoiling, but you'll immediately realise what I mean). I can honestly say it's one of the best stories I've ever read. The beauty of the writing is breathtaking and incredibly poignant.

 

Called 'End of the Line' by shewhoguards  this is a truly magical HP/Discworld story which will bring a tear to your eye.

 

Hell was, Snape decided, a crowded railway platform . . . .

The Passion of Hermione Granger

Evening all,

 

I thought I'd take a break from Dramione fiction for a little while, although I'll admit I am writing another story featuring them. I haven't yet decided on the smut level - currently it's mainly hints rather than anything more salacious but that may change as it goes on.

 

Instead I've published a two chapter, complete story on AFF.net featuring another favourite pairing Snape and Hermione.

 

The story began, as so many of my plot bunnies do, with a short one shot (which, if you're interested in that sort of thing, was actually the first section of the first chapter of the story). However, before long it had grown and as it increased it became ever more lemony. I don't have many stories that I would actually rate as Adult++, but this one most definitely is, so be aware of that if you are intending to read. 

 

In fact, it is so lemony that it actually inspired my wonderful beta, Mamacita, to e-mail me and tell me I was riding the smutmobile (whatever that is).
