Turning Back the Clock - Chapter Seven

Okay, so first, I want to apologise for the late posting. Unfortunately, I wasn't too well towards the end of this week and posting on Friday night was out of the question. I had intended to get it posted during Saturday evening (it's now Sunday morning my time and way past my bedtime) but a brain fog which was a hangover from the illness made me completely forget the log-in for this account and sent me spinning back in time to the old one - which I abandoned when I completely forgot the log-in several years ago (yes, I have a terrible memory).

I have just spent several hours screaming at my monitor every time I logged in to discover that I was still on the old blog, and completed (but fortunately didn't send) a hugely snotty feedback report about how crap Google is, and why was it stopping me from accessing my blog, when it finally dawned on me that I was using completely the wrong e-mail address - the peril of having too many, folks!

Now, I'm happily logged in and have posted the final chapter of the story.

We know Hermione didn't do as she was instructed to do by Professor Dumbledore, so what did she do instead? Read on to find out.

I really hope you enjoyed the story and would love to receive a comment or some kudos.

Since my old computer died I haven't done any writing at all. Partly this has been due to work commitments and illness and partly due to setting up my new computer which seems to be taking forever. Hopefully, I'll get going again as soon as I work out how to get rid of the random picture of a beach that appears whenever I start my computer and replace it with the Slytherin crest. Then I'll feel that my computer is really my computer at last. We're nearly there with the Slytherin Common Room from Pottermore as my desktop.

For those of you unlucky enough not to have been sorted into the finest House at Hogwarts, it's possible you might not have seen the room, so here it is in all its glory.

Anyway, it's even more past my bedtime now so I'm off.

Until next time (not entirely sure when that will be yet), take care and enjoy reading. If you come across any good HP fanfic don't forget to let me know in the comments. I'm always on the lookout for new stuff.

Turning Back the Clock - Chapter Six

Wooohooooo!!!!

I have a PC again and life is so much more interesting. There's nothing worse than trying to do things on an iPad when you're used to having multiple tabs open at once. It also means that with any luck I won't cock up the posting, as I did on AO3 last week - Oops. Thankfully, one of my readers pointed out my error so I could put it right, but my sincere apologies to anyone who was confused by my mistake.

This week I booked to go to Leakycon in Dublin at the end of August. It will be good to spend some time with other Potterheads for the start of the school term - definitely better than attempting to get anywhere near to Kings Cross. I really hope British Rail have got a plan for 1 September, because just one of the many Facebook events taking place there at 11 am that day has 24,000 people who have indicated they are going to attend!

If I was British Rail and J K Rowling, I would arrange for the real Hogwarts Express to be on the platform and would sell tickets in advance for a place on the train, the money from which could go to Lumos. It would be a fantastic opportunity to raise huge amounts of money for Jo's charity. Whatever they do I think they are going to be inundated!

Anyway, on to the story. Poor Hermione. She has been told what she's got to do by Professor Dumbledore but she's still not eager to lose her relationship with Severus.

Okay, that's me out of here until next week and the final part of this story.

Have a good week.

Turning Back the Clock - Chapter Five

Morning all,

A very short one today as my poor old PC died yesterday and I'm having to navigate posting with an iPad, which is taking so much longer than usual.

Time for Hermione to reveal the truth to the Headmaster. Will he be able to help her?

See you next week.

Turning Back the Clock - Chapter Four

Good morning everyone,

Here we are again with another week already gone and the world looking a more depressing place by the day. But today, the day after Harry Potter Book Night, the lovely people at Bloomsbury have released pictures of their new 20th anniversary editions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone - in House colours, in both Hardback and Paperback editions.

The Slytherin editions are quite clearly the best, but sadly, my best friend (a Hufflepuff) disagreed and thought they were the best (as if!) It culminated in a battle of the gifs on FB Messenger, which I won (of course) by dint of posting Severus Snape saying 'Always'. Let's face it, nothing beats that!

To be honest, if I had the money I'd buy all of them!

Anyway, on to the story and this week sees Hermione returning back to the present, full of anticipation of what she's changed. Has it all gone according to plan, or has she made a huge mistake?

If you are enjoying the story I would really appreciate a review or some kudos.

Have a fun week and I'll see you next Friday, assuming Donald Trump hasn't started WW3 by then.

Keep safe and keep the faith.
